Whole Wheat Pua


You will need ..

  • 1 cup whole wheat atta

  • ½ ripe banana-chopped finely.

  • 4 tbsp sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tsp desiccated coconut (fine coconut powder), optional.

  • 1 tsp fine almond/cashewnut powder.

How to make Whole Wheat Pua

  1. Mix the above ingredients in a mixer to prepare a smooth batter.

  2. Heat about 5-6 tbsp ghee in a kadhai.

  3. Pour 1 tbsp of batter into the ghee and deep fry on slow flame, turning the pua till both sides turn golden brown.

  4. Puas made can be easily stored refrigerated for 3-4 days I an air tight container.

Whole Wheat Pua Tips:

Spread a little bit of fresh malai (milk cream) on the pua to make it more yummy.
