Sooji Upma:
You will need…

1 tsp ghee
-
½ tbsp semolina (sooji)

1 ½ cups boiled water

¼ tsp salt
How to make Sooji Upma

Heat ghee in a khadhai.

Add sooji and bhuno while on medium flame, stirring for 2-3 minutes till sooji begins to change color brown.

Add salt and hot water and mix while stirring, thoroughly on low flame till the right feeding consistency for your baby is obtained.
Sooji suits the digestion and taste of a young baby very well. This is one of the two basic ways of feeding sooji to a young infant, the other being sooji kheer. Later, these recipes may be enhanced by adding a variety of other ingredients
Sooji Upma Tips:
- After 6 months of age, you can grate half a cheese cube and add before feeding.
- Sooji preparations become lumpy fast so it is good idea to prepare immediately before baby’s meal time and cool by stirring with a spoon at the time of feeding.
