Potato and Pea Curry


Potato and Pea Curry


You will need ..

  • 1 potato-cut into 1 cubes

  • ½ cup shelled peas

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • ¼ tsp turmeric (haldi).

  • ¼ tsp garam masala

  • ½ ground coriander (dhania powder)

  • ½ tsp salt to taste.

Grind together

  • 2 tomatos-chopped

  • 1 onion-chopped, 2 flakes garlic

  • ½ tsp chopped ginger

How to make Potato and Pea Curry

  1. Heat oil. Add the onion-tomato paste. Cook till dry and oil separates.

  2. Add masalas-haldi, garam masala, coriander and salt. Stir for 1 minute.

  3. Add potato cubes and stir for 3-4 minutes. Add 1 cup water and bring to a boil.

  4. Add peas and simmer covered for 7-8 minutes till potatoes are cooked. Mash the potatoes slightly.

  5. Serve with roti or rice.
