Caramelised banana and hazelnut waffles
You will need ..

4 packaged Belgian-style waffles

40g butter
-
4 ripe banans (800g), sliced thickly

2 tablespoons brown sugar

½ cup (75g) roasted hazelnuts, chopped coarsely

1/3 cup (80ml) maple syrup
How to make Caramelised banana and hazelnut waffles:

Preheat oven to moderately slow (170°C/150°C Fan-forced).

Placed waffles, in single layer, on oven tray; cook, uncovered, about 8 minutes, just to heat through.

Meanwhile, melt butter in medium frying pan; cook banana, stirring, about 2 minutes or until hot. Add sugar; cook, uncovered, over low heat, about 2 minutes or until banana is caramelized lightly.

Divide waffles among serving plates; top with banana mixture, nuts and syrup.
